Thirsty Wasps

I like wasps in the garden because they eat cabbage worms and aphids. In 2003 they built a nest in a frequently accessed area. I decided I'd make sure they had water if they wouldn't sting anyone. We made it through the summer with no stings despite many close encounters. Observing the wasps this summer has been fascinating and even if the deal between us was all on my side, I did learn that we could live with them without anyone being hurt.

Nest was under the board
